VOTE YES ON MEASURE T
For a Safer San Jose
The time for a safety upgrade is right now. That’s why a broad, non-partisan coalition is forming to support Measure T for a safer San Jose.
Much of our critical public safety infrastructure is outdated – undermining our daily emergency response systems and making us more vulnerable to inevitable earthquakes and floods.
Measure T will provide the funding our city needs to improve public safety, repair our infrastructure and build a safer San Jose.
Measure T Will:
Upgrade our 911 communications facilities to improve fire, police and paramedic response
Rebuild police training facilities & repair crumbling fire stations
Replace deteriorating, earthquake-vulnerable bridges
Upgrade our emergency operations center to better coordinate our response
Restore safe locations for emergency food and shelter for displaced families
Rebuild parts of our 70-year-old storm sewer system to prevent flooding & avoid polluting our creeks, Bay and drinking water
Preserve natural open space to protect groundwater supplies from contamination & reduce our vulnerability to wildfires
Make our daily driving safer by fixing potholes & repaving deteriorating roads that cause accidents
WE SUPPORT MEASURE T
San Jose Mayor"Decades of underinvestment in deteriorating streets, bridges and critical public safety facilities undermine our daily emergency response, and make us more vulnerable to inevitable earthquakes and floods – that's why we need Measure T."
San Jose Police Chief"We're successfully adding more police officers and firefighters, but we must upgrade our 911 communications facilities to improve fire, police and paramedic response to emergencies, rebuild police training facilities and crumbling fire stations, and upgrade our emergency operations center to better coordinate our response."
